GT Leader Eagleton Busy with Championship Battle in Sight
Austin, TX – September 27, 2019 – Trans Am West Coast Championship GT Class leader Roger Eagleton is looking forward to getting back in action at the Formula One Grand Prix Circuit of the Americas when the Trans Am presented by Pirelli West Coast Series resumes October 5 for the finale of the reinvigorated Championship. When he spoke earlier this week, the Hawaii based Property Entrepreneur and man behind the wheel of the No. 98 Five Star Property Management / Energy Real Estate Ford Mustang was quick to thank the team that has propelled him to the brink of his first Trans Am class win.
“I really want to thank the entire Five Star Property Management and DIG Motorsports team members for a solid year of hard work which has allowed us to show up to COTA leading the points in class,” stated Eagleton.
Regarding the company he founded and whose name the car bears he added, “On the Five Star Property Management front, it has been a year of aggressive expansion, with the company working on opening a new branch in the Hawaiian Islands where there is a big demand for quality residential and commercial management. We plan to use the latest technology to help owners lower vacancy rates and increase ROI thanks to our pioneering data driven processes and advanced software tools, combined with old school boots on the ground. The team of Jessica Sanchez (General Manager), Christina Brown (Accounting) and Christina Kane (Portfolio Management) has done a tremendous job for our property owners and we are looking forward to an even better 2020 where we continue to refine and improve upon our winning formula.”
2019 has been a breakthrough year for Eagleton on the race track, with his team establishing themselves well on the West Coast circuit in their inaugural season. Roger paid tribute to the innovative approach of his colleagues and the tremendous prospects at West Coast venue Thunderhill when he added, “On the DIG Motorsports side, Jeremy and Candice Cuthbertson have really taken the next step in their business by closing out their first full year of operations of their new location at Thunderhill Raceway Park in Willows, CA. They have proven to be business pioneers in the motorsports world, by becoming the first motorsports based business to relocate to what is sure to become Northern California’s premier race track up at Thunderhill Raceway. As City and County’s continue to tighten down regulations on Sonoma and Laguna Seca, Thunderhill is best positioned to benefit from increased consumer traffic in the form of track days, private testing as well as continuing to serve as ground zero for all types of autonomous testing. Before that, Roger is looking to seal the West Coast Championship GT Class in Texas, when Trans Am arrives at the spectacular Circuit of the Americas October 3 – 5 when the West Coast runners are joined by the National Championship competitors for a real festival of Trans Am racing.
Roger has two testing sessions on Thursday afternoon with practice and qualifying on Friday, October 4 and the feature race itself on Saturday, October 5 lunchtime at 11:10 p.m. It is a testament to the Trans Am management, notably John Claggett, Aaron Coalwell and the team, that the series is able to strut its stuff at the state-of-the-art COTA facility.
